CHINA AFRICA INVESTMENT MEETINGS ''CHINA-AFRICA, THE NEW DEAL''


BMCE Bank and its subsidiary, Bank of Africa, in association with the China Africa Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CAJCCI) are hosting the first ever B to B meetings on the theme of "China Africa Investment Meetings’’ The event will be held on 24-25 June 2014 at the Jordin des Roses Sofitel Hotel in Rabat. The event will bring together more than 250 investors and business leaders from Morocco, China and sub-Saharan Africa for discussions and to cement partnerships in a number of sectors of common interest: automotive, agriculture, renewable energies, tourism, logistics and infrastructure. The event will open with a plenary session attended by a number of government and diplomatic dignitaries from Morocco and overseas. The two themes chosen for the occasion are 'Building a win-win China-Africa partnership" and "Investing in Africa - sharing experiences" During the two days, there will be an area dedicated to B to B meetings, attended by more than one hundred companies from China and the African continent. Established in the People’s Republic of China for over a decade now. BMCE Bank has been, through its representative office in Beijing, the first Moroccan bank to settle in Asia, with the primary mission of facilitating relationships with Chinese businesses and investors. BMCE Bank has also been present in sub-Saharan Africa for over 25 years, strengthening its network by acquiring Bank Of Africa in 2008. The strategic choice of BMCE Bank Group to strengthen its presence in Africa stems from its desire to further highlight the exceptional growth potential of the continent. Through this high-level meeting initiative, BMCE Group intends to underline Morocco's role as a natural "bridge" and an appropriate platform for enhancing trade and investment relations between China and the African continent.
