Huawei Participates in 11th UIC High-Speed Congress


Huawei is showcasing some of its latest solutions for high-speed railways at the 11th UIC High-Speed Congress that took place in Morocco on March 7–10, 2023. The tech giant's booth highlights solutions such as Future Railway Mobile Communication System (FRMCS) and Perimeter Protection, welcoming Congress participants — primarily top-level industry executives and railway experts. 

Modern high-speed railways need a range of new technologies to drive them into the future. They require mobile communications with higher bandwidth to sustain all-new services, but are also increasingly turning to the latest digital technologies to ensure safety and green development.

Huawei's solutions are designed with the needs of modern high-speed railways in mind. For example, FRMCS succeeds the traditional train-to-ground wireless communications solution (GSM-R), readying railway systems for future evolution. Plus, FRMCS delivers high security and reliability, wide coverage, and high bandwidth, helping today's railways digitally evolve. Meanwhile, the Perimeter Sensing Solution draws on optical sensing technologies to cover whole stations and provide round-the-clock protection with no blind spots. This results in safer high-speed railways and prevents service interruptions.

Huawei, alongside partners and customers, is designing solutions targeting the safe, green, and digital evolution of modern rail systems.
