Live on Facebook: Sky News Arabia reveals exciting developments and new program line-up


In a first of its kind interactive live broadcaston Facebook, Sky News Arabia announced its new progressive strategy andprogram line-upwhich will launch on Sunday the 6th of September at 9:00 GMT (13:00 Abu Dhabi). Sky News Arabia’sreveal includes new programs that appeal to viewers from all over the region as well as attracting top presenting talent. The innovative approach also includes optimizing the use of modern technologies to offer a unique viewing experience that integrates digital and traditional media platforms and resonates with audiences across the Middle East and North Africa region.

During the live session, well-known TV host and presenterGiselle Khoury spoke about her new weekly show ‘With Giselle’. The new show will host leading decision makers and officials from around the Arab world. Additionally,media personality and program host Nadim Koteich offered a glimpse into his newpolitical satire show called ‘Tonight with Nadim’, where he will discuss issues of importance to the Arab world, tackling news from a different angle and highlighting public opinion.

‘Sky News Arabia Investigations’ will explore important events in detail, delving into their origins, reading between the lines to narrate facts and developments, and exploring the intimate details around issues and controversial topics that most interest Arab audiences.

Dedicated Segments from Around the Region

The new line-up includes weekly programs that address developments in Middle Easternand international capitals and tackle key political matters that are shaping public opinion. Amro Abdel Hamid will host “From Cairo”, where he will explore regional and international affairs that concern Egyptian society and the region in general from different points of view.

‘From Washington’, hosted by Joe Tabet, will cover domestic U.S. affairs and discuss their impact on the world and the MENA regionin particular.Meanwhile, ‘From Riyadh’, an existing favorite, has beenenhancedwith Hamad Al Mahmoud providing a variety of topics that cover the region’s political, social and cultural events and broadly discussestheir impact on the GCC with leading experts and analysts.

Daily Favorite ‘Newsroom’ Goes Deeper

Daily program ‘Newsroom’, hosted by Mohannad Al Khatib and Chantal Saliba at 18:00 GMT (22:00 Abu Dhabi), has a new format that paints a deeper and more comprehensive picture of events in the region and the world, exploring them with an analytical and investigative eye, and reporting on them in detail using state-of-the-art visual effects.

Dedicated North African Content

The new programming line-up also offers a dedicated news bulletin to North Africa called ‘The Maghreb Window’ introducing a daily show that centers exclusively on current affairs of the region, presented by Sami Kasmi and Imane Lahrache.

The Difficult Question

Additionally, Fadila Souissi will host a new program called‘Al Su’al Al Saab’ (The Difficult Question), which will air every Sunday at 15:30 GMT (19:30 Abu Dhabi), hosting controversial political, social, cultural, artistic, or even sports figures and confronting them with questions and accusations that have been directed at them to hear their responses first-hand.

Morning Review

In the morning, Sky News Arabia will introduce Morning Review, a new segment-based show showcasing news, political and business topics of interest.

‘Their Success’ is a new weekly program, thatwill showcaseinspirational stories around female heroes who have realized their ambitions, overcome challenges and created a better future for themselves through perseverance, creativity, and persistence.

Meanwhile, the weekly ‘Muwajaha’ (Confrontation), which is broadcast every Thursday at 16:30 GMT (20:30 Abu Dhabi), will address prominent decision makers and discuss the impact of their decisions on people around the region.

Friendly Fire: A Model Innovative Talk Show

The weekly program ‘Neeran Sadeeqa’ (Friendly Fire), airs every Monday at 16:30 GMT (20:30 Abu Dhabi), presents a different and innovative talk show model, allowing two guests to debate a contemporary current affairs topic, moderated by Abdulaziz Al Khamis.

Hadith Al Arab (Arab Talk)

Meanwhile, Dr Suleiman Al Hattlan will host the weekly ‘Hadith Al Arab’ (Arab Talk) in a new format. Guests will include prominent thinkers, inventors, and intellectuals and introduce many concepts and ideas with misconceptions that have been widely believed.

Radar

Presented by Fadila Souissi and Morouj Ibrahim daily at 14:00 GMT (18:00 Abu Dhabi), Radar returns in a new format to cover pressing issues in the region, discussing and analyzingmatters to explore their dimensions from different angles and perspectives.

‘Fikrwa Fan’ (Art and Culture)

Presented by Sami Kasmi, adds a new direction to Sky News Arabia’s programming lineupexploring ideas and inspiring arts from various civilizations.

Leveraging the Digital Space to Bring Viewers Closer to the Debates

A prominent feature of the network’s new approachis simultaneous broadcasting on its digital platforms and TV channel, offering audiencesthe opportunity to watch the news wherever they choose and interact with the shows and express their views through social media.

Most notable among these interactive programs is ‘Niqash Tag’, which explores controversial topics in Arab circles, directly addressing viewers’ opinions.
